Purple Eye Shadow

Taking bright eye shadows from runway to everyday can be a mystery, but at the Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony, Freida Pinto had it figured out with her shimmery purple eye. Thanks to her shadow’s finish, the look isn’t too matchy-matchy next to her multicolored Michael Angel gown. Pinto’s makeup artist used a purple crème shadow on the star, blending it onto her lids and on her lower lash line. Crème shadows are a great way to experiment with more colorful looks—even if you’re stuck on tried-and-true neutral
shades. When it comes to more vivid hues, blending out the color seamlessly is half the battle. Because crème shadows have a softer texture, mastering a natural-looking gradient becomes foolproof.
